Investigate a caller ID spam label

Gather evidence when customers report a misleading caller label.

  1. Record your outgoing number, approximate call time, and the exact label reported.
  2. Ask which carrier or caller ID app displayed it, if known.
  3. Share that information with support. Review caller identity and call patterns; a label change is not guaranteed.
Calling & routing

Plan your main number’s call flow

Decide where calls should go during and outside business hours.

  1. Write a short greeting and list your team’s primary destinations.
  2. Decide who should answer first and what happens if nobody answers.
  3. Set after-hours, weekend, and holiday behavior. Test each path from an outside line.

  1. Try a different destination and note whether the issue is inbound, outbound, or both.
  2. Check the headset, cable, Wi-Fi signal, and whether other devices are affected.
  3. Contact support with a recent example and approximate time so the team can investigate.
